Family
Resulting from the flourishing encounter of very different cultures, the family will quickly grow under the benevolent patronage of Aunt Paulette de Bernis.
The house was warm, dancing and singing. The children of Marie Thérèse and Jean keep a very happy memory of their youth.

François in the courtyard
At the death of Marie-Thérèse, their son François Godebski took over the house with his family. He established his workshop on the ground floor. The home then became that of the prolific artist where friends, poets and gypsies met, talked and sang.
The house was always open to creative minds. In the courtyard, the guitar was queen and the walls still remember those moments when Flamenco made the air of summer vibrate.
François disappeared too young in 1997, leaving a great void and a great question about the family home.
Isabelle Godebski, the older sister of the siblings, then decides to take over. With her husband Yves Dauge, they undertake a major restoration campaign, from the roofs to the foundations.
Very attached to the values of hospitality and simplicity, they were able to restore the house without being haste, continuing to live in it and receive their many friends.
Isabelle left on October 10, 2023. Yves and their children continue to write the pages of this family story.
